Pandit Jageshwar Chandrashekhar Mishra (Munajji) was born in the Kachhwa village of Mirzapur on 27th February 1965, in a pious family. Your father late Shri Chandrashekhar Mishra ji, "Ramayani" was a well-known preacher for Ramcharitmanas (literally, The Ramayana composed by Tulsidas) and also was India's renowned astrologer (face- reader). From a young age the influence of family tradition and culture had an effect on your life due to which you have been closely associated with music and Ramcharitmanas. In the field of music you were awarded a National Award twice in Jaipur. Well Known Singers and composers like Naushad, Khayyam, Ravindra Jain and Bhupendra Mitali have praised your singing from time to time.
You got MA from Allahabad University. Your programs are broadcasted on AIR India Radio Station, Varanasi and from Ranchi Doordarshan TV etc.. After the demise of your father Shree Chandrashekhar Mishra Ji, you have dedicated your life to reading, understanding and reciting Ramayana, due which you have become well-known community leader in Shree Hanuman Temple (Kashyap Kund) Kachhwa, Mirzapur, Mata Durgapuja, Navyugak Samiti Navapura, Varanasi, and All India Manas Promotions Committee, Townhal, Varanasi. On the footsteps of your revered father Late Shree Chandrasekhar Mishra Ji, your daughter Mugdha Richa Mishra ji is also engaged with her father Shree Jageshar Mishra ji in pursuing a tradition of performing musical recitals of Ramcharitmanas .
